About this event

The AIOP Masterclass in Prosthetic Dentistry (Corso Protesi 2026/27) is a comprehensive professional development program designed for dental clinicians and dental technicians seeking to enhance their expertise in prosthetic rehabilitation. Led by internationally recognized specialist Dr. Gianfranco Di Febo, this masterclass integrates modern prosthetic workflows by combining both analog and digital methodologies in a rational, predictable, and clinically applicable approach. The program consists of five separate modules, each spanning two and a half days, scheduled throughout the academic year from October 2026 through February 2027.

The course curriculum covers essential topics spanning the entire prosthetic treatment journey, from initial patient consultation and digital patient profiling through final clinical and technical finalization. Participants will gain deep knowledge of photographic documentation in dentistry and dental technology, horizontal and vertical prosthetic preparations, provisional restorations, impression techniques, adhesive partial restorations, veneer design and execution, complete denture prosthodontics, occlusal management in fixed prosthetics, implant-supported prosthetics, and complex rehabilitation cases. Special emphasis is placed on understanding the mental processes that guide clinical decision-making and the technical procedures involved in constructing various prosthetic restorations.

Each session alternates between concise theoretical lectures and practical hands-on exercises, with interactive discussion of real clinical cases. Practical training covers intraoral scanning, clinical photography, digital design, mock-up creation, provisional fabrication, tooth preparation techniques, occlusal management, implant prosthetic workflows, CAD/CAM design, and three-dimensional printing technologies. The masterclass emphasizes team-based learning, addressing the crucial relationship between clinical and technical professionals, and explores the critical introduction of new digital technologies and workflows in prosthodontics in relation to traditional procedural standards.

The program is directed by Dr. Riccardo Del Lupo with technical leadership from renowned dental technician Valter Bolognesi. Faculty includes prominent specialists such as Dr. Giacomo Fabbri, Dr. Marco Valenti, Dr. Giacomo Ori, Dr. Alessandro Iorio Siciliano, Dr. Marco Maneschi, Prof. Piero Venezia, and numerous other distinguished educators from across Italy. The course is conducted at Dental Trey in Fiumana, Forlì-Cesena, providing a dedicated learning environment equipped for both theoretical instruction and practical demonstration.
