Stephen J. Chu

Dr. Stephen J. Chu, DMD, MSD, CDT, is an internationally recognized prosthodontist and a leading expert in aesthetic, restorative, and implant dentistry. He is a former Adjunct Clinical Professor at New York University College of Dentistry, where he served for 26 years in the departments of Prosthodontics, Periodontology, and Implant Dentistry and directed the Continuing Education Program in Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry.

Dr. Chu has authored seven textbooks and published more than 100 scientific articles. He serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry and maintains a private practice in New York City. His areas of expertise include implant aesthetics, immediate implant placement, soft tissue management, restorative dentistry, and dental color science. He is also the creator of Chu's Aesthetic Gauges and a recipient of the Peter Schärer Distinguished Lecturer Award from the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.
