My first choice was Medicine, but I got into the Central University of Venezuela in the Faculty of Dentistry, and at first I couldn't get over it, haha. But when I saw my first patient in the pre-clinic, I felt like a superhero. Relieving pain and restoring a tooth was my greatest satisfaction. My inspiration was my parents, and my goal was my patients. Their smile when they leave my chair is priceless.

Well, every day is a great challenge, since with Biomimetic Dentistry I focus on saving teeth with extensive damage, giving them another chance before their unfortunate end in extraction. At the same time, I work daily to prevent teeth from losing vitality by practicing Minimally Invasive Dentistry. My daily work is based on saving the unsalvageable and respecting the dental tissue to avoid cavitation, meaning avoiding restorations. I teach my patients about this new era of 21st-century dentistry and much more.

Wow, so much! I graduated at the end of the 20th century and I'm currently working in the 21st century. In this century, we see how everything has changed, from diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment in dental procedures. Even dental materials have adapted to our demands. We see the large material industries demanding cutting-edge materials from dentists that are less aggressive and more conservative. Dentistry has changed for the better, moving from retentive dentistry to adhesive dentistry, meaning seeking less invasiveness and more adhesion to the existing dental tissue. That's already a great achievement in our profession.

To be honest, "Dentistry with fewer specialties is better because if we continue to promote research, our profession will become preventive.
