Dr. Cristina Teixeira is an American-based orthodontics academic and researcher known for her work on craniofacial development, bone biology, orthodontic tooth movement and dentofacial orthopedics. She is the co-founder and Executive Dean of CTOR Academy in Hoboken, New Jersey, USA.
Dr. Teixeira completed her dental degree (DMD), orthodontic specialty training, master's degree in Oral Biology and PhD in Developmental Biology at the University of Pennsylvania. She subsequently built an academic career at the New York University College of Dentistry, where she served as Professor and Chair of the Department of Orthodontics. She is now listed as Executive Dean and Professor at CTOR Academy.
Her career combines clinical orthodontics, experimental research and postgraduate education, with a particular emphasis on translating scientific findings into clinically useful approaches to orthodontic treatment.
